Our Story

How Cendric Came to Be

Cendric began with a straightforward observation: most families have important documents somewhere — but very few feel confident that they know what they have, where it is, or how to talk about it. That gap was the seed for everything we do.

Founded in Chiang Mai in 2019, Cendric grew out of conversations between educators and facilitators who noticed that the topic of family records tends to sit in an uncomfortable middle space. It is too personal for generic seminars, yet too general for individual professional appointments. We set out to fill that space with something quiet and purposeful: structured workshops that give families practical tools without telling them what to do with their own lives.

Our venue on Chang Klan Road sits in the heart of Chang Khlan — a neighbourhood that has always felt like a meeting point for Chiang Mai's mix of long-established families and newer residents from across Thailand and abroad. That community mix shapes our sessions. We design everything to work across different household structures and backgrounds, keeping language plain and pace unhurried.

Today, Cendric runs the Foundations Workshop for families taking a first step, the Family Dialogue Session for those who want a structured space to talk, and the Cornerstone Membership for ongoing learning throughout the year. Each programme reflects our core belief: that organising your family's records and conversations is a form of care — and that education can make it feel less daunting.

How We Work

Our Standards and Commitments

Every aspect of a Cendric session is guided by clear principles around participant wellbeing, privacy, and the boundaries of educational work.

Privacy by Design

We collect only the information needed to run sessions. Nothing shared during a workshop is discussed outside it. Group sessions use first names only unless participants choose otherwise.

Clear Scope of Practice

Cendric facilitators are trained educators, not lawyers, financial planners, or regulated advisers. If a topic falls outside educational scope, we say so clearly and suggest appropriate resources.

Current, Reviewed Materials

Workshop materials and templates are reviewed at least twice a year to reflect the current general understanding of document organisation and family communication practices.

Respectful Facilitation

Facilitators complete training in neutral facilitation and non-directive communication. Sessions are designed to support, never to steer participants toward particular decisions.

Accessible Language

All sessions and written materials use plain English, free of legal or financial jargon. We welcome participants with varying levels of familiarity with document or records terminology.

Post-Session Support

Participants can email us with general follow-up questions about resources or next steps. We respond thoughtfully within two working days — always within the educational scope.

Context & Expertise

Family Records Education in Northern Thailand

Managing a household's important documents is one of those tasks that nearly everyone intends to do and very few get around to systematically. Personal papers, keepsakes, and shared records tend to accumulate in drawers, folders, and digital storage without a clear structure — which can make family conversations about them feel unnecessarily complicated.

Cendric approaches this as an educational challenge rather than a technical or legal one. Our workshops help families build a shared vocabulary for talking about records, develop simple habits for organising documents, and understand — in general terms — the kinds of categories and considerations that tend to matter over time. We draw on established approaches from the fields of adult education, document management, and facilitated group dialogue.

Based in Chang Khlan, Chiang Mai, we work with families from a range of backgrounds — Thai families with longstanding local roots, expatriate households, and mixed families navigating different cultural understandings of shared planning. Our sessions are conducted in English. We are sensitive to the fact that in many Thai households, these conversations sit at the intersection of family tradition and practical planning, and we design our workshops to hold that complexity with care.

The Cendric approach is not about telling families what decisions to make. It is about giving them a calm, well-organised space in which to have the conversations that matter, with the right tools at hand. That focus on process over prescription is what distinguishes our work from other forms of estate or planning education.
